The investment seminar for Chinese delegation from Zhejiang province

On June 16, 2014 the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) together with the General Consulate of the SR in Shanghai organized the investment seminar for Chinese delegation from Zhejiang province.

Delegation consisted not only of the members of Zhejiang International Investment Promotion Center (ZIIPC) and its related organizations, but also of two major Chinese companies which were looking for suitable partners to establish business cooperation.

The event was preceded by the visit of Zilina region, which is the partner region of Zhejiang province. The delegation visited ICT cluster, technological centre and companies in the region. Juraj Hasko, SARIO representative presented regional opportunities in industry and tourism to Chinese delegation.

Robert Simoncic, CEO SARIO welcomed the participants at the SARIO premises, followed by Miroslav Tomo, the counselor of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the SR and Juraj Kiesel, the Senior Advisor of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the SR who held opening speeches. Kiesel also introduced a few projects for potential cooperation in the sector of agriculture. The members of Chinese delegation were introduced by Lu Weiqi, the Director of ZIIPC.

The seminar continued with the presentation of investment environment of Zhejiang province and the services of ZIIPC by Mr. Cai Lei , the Division Director ZIIPC. Afterwards, Slavomira Lenhardtova, the SARIO representative introduced the investment and business potential of Slovakia and investment opportunities for Chinese investors in Slovakia.

The cooperating investment agencies ZIIPC and SARIO signed the Memorandum of Understanding during the seminar.
 
The event continued with the B2B negotiations between Chinese company Feishen Group and the Slovak entities from automotive industry and between Chinese company Zheshang Sugar & Wine Group Co. and Slovak wine producers. B2B negotiations were attended by the representatives of 12 Slovak companies.
