OÖ Exporttag 2014 in Linz

Rrepresentatives of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) attended the OÖ Exporttag 2014 in Linz, Austria on November 10th, 2014.

The event was focused on introducing business and investment opportunities to small and medium enterprises from Upper Austria.
Every year there are four countries selected to be presented in panel discussions and this year Slovakia was chosen from the Central and Eastern Europe.
1000 participants were registered at the OÖ Exporttag 2014 in Linz.

Slovak business environment was introduced at B2B meetings led by Mr. Patrick Sagmeister – the representative of the Austrian Embassy in Bratislava. Slovakia was also presented during the panel „Slowakei Forum” which was opened by Mr. Juraj Macháč – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Austria.
Mr. Sagmeister highlighted favorable conditions for doing business in Slovakia, such as stable political environment, good infrastructure, and educated workforce, tradition in industrial production, growing R&D field and low level of bureaucracy when establishing a company. Mr. Vladimír Duranka then introduced SARIOs services and basic requirements of the state aid. Last but not least, the representatives of established branches of Austrian companies, Rübig and Schauer Agrotonic, shared their positive business experiences in Slovakia.

SARIO as well as the Slovak Tourist Board (SACR) were present at the information stand where SARIO delegates provided information about services of the agency, sourcing opportunities and sectors represented at the event – automotive, chemical, and engineering sectors.
