On October 20 – 22, 2014 the representatives of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) accomplished a business trip to the Czech Republic where they participated on CEE Automotive Forum 2014 in Prague. “Business Friendly Slovakia” presentation which covers Slovak investment environment and export potential was presented to potential investors and companies seeking Slovak suppliers by SARIO CEO, Mr. Robert Šimončič during the first block of the event.The SARIO representatives also provided information during the roundtable discussions with delegations from central and eastern European countries.Forum hosted over 60 automotive companies which represented well known car manufacturers such as Volkswagen, Peugeot Citroen, Ford, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Opel, Škoda, Porsche and automotive suppliers such as Plastic Omnium, Matador, Bosch, Brose.Participation of SARIO was very well received and new promising connections to companies were generated.Slovakia offers suitable business environment for automotive companies. Slovakia is world leader in car production per capita – 181 cars per 1000 inhabitants were produced in Slovakia in 2013. All automotive manufacturers and suppliers generate over 25% of whole industry sales.
