The representative of Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), participated at the seminar „Building bridges of cooperation in the field of cleantech between the Slovak Republic and Denmark“ under the auspices of Slovak Embassy in Copenhagen. The aim of this seminar was to present the best practices of Denmark, the world’s leaders in green and clean technologies, to establish contacts with companies and institutions, to build business partnerships, and to exchange experiences in the cleantech field. SARIO contributed to the event with the presentation of the Slovak business environment with the focus on the innovation potential in the field of clean technologies. Slovak Embassy in Copenhagen on Thursday, 26 November 2015 welcomed 40 representatives of Slovak and Danish companies and institutions active in the field of cleantech. Opening speech was delivered by the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Kingdom of Denmark, H.E. Boris Gandel, followed by a series of presentations. The main presentation was held by the Danish company BY&HAVN, which introduced a sustainable approach in the urban development of Copenhagen. Mr. Anders Hasselager from the Danish Energy Agency presented the Danish approach in creation of an effective energy mix. He was followed by the presentation of Slovak Innovation and Energy Agency (SIEA), by Mr. Eduard Jambor, who shared the insight to the current state of Slovak energetics and how the Agency supports initiatives in the field of energy efficiency. The representative of SARIO agency, Veronika Hlucha, presented advantages of the Slovak business environment and Slovak innovation potential with the focus on cleantech. SARIO presentation also included success stories of Slovak companies doing projects in the field of cleantech, which demonstrated that Slovakia has potential also in this area. Cleantech experiences of Danish companies were presented by organizations State of Green and Clean Cluster which gather Danish leading companies in the field of energy efficiency and environment. Digital tool for cleantech solutions – the company Solved, was introduced by the vice president, Mr. Radoslav Mizera. Last presentations were held by the the Slovak companies and institutions that would like to collaborate with Danish partners. The series of presentations were followed by the b2b meetings. There is number of Danish companies in Slovakia, continuously growing and ranked as one of the top employers. Denmark's strong position in the field of energy efficiency demonstrates that Danish companies bring the high added value. For these reasons, it is one of the priorities of SARIO to increase investments from this region through the promotion of Slovak business environment. Participants appreciated program of the event, which enabled mutual sharing of experiences among Slovak and Danish companies and institutions. The event has certianly contributed to the Slovak-Danish business relations not only in the area of cleantech.
