On September 22nd, the representatives of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) attended the official opening of a new subsidiary of Norwegian company VISSIM in Liptovský Mikuláš.
Mr. Per Arne Henæs, the CEO of VISSIM in his opening speech thanked SARIO for significant assistance by providing arguments and information why is it worth to invest in Slovakia. This type of assistance also positively influenced the decision to place the new subsidiary of VISSIM in Slovakia. SARIO highly appreciates the choice of location - Liptovsky Mikuláš, which proves that even smaller Slovak towns provide a suitable working environment and skilled workers also for companies active in the IT sector.
According to Mr. Henæs, “Slovakia is a stable EU country with many highly educated and experienced people, who we believe will become a great asset to Vissim. Due to the change in the oil and gas industry, opening an office in Slovakia allows us to cut costs while actually increasing our manpower.
