Shining a spotlight on Slovak SSC & BPO sector | SARIO, Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency

Slovak-based company T-Systems Slovakia has been announced as the best IT services firm of the year in CEE region.

On February 2, 2017 CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards Ceremony took place in Warsaw, where top companies and cities from the Central and Eastern European region were distinguished for their contribution and performance within the sector. The fifth annual event was hosted by BiznesPolska and brought together almost 300 top-executives from 139 SSCs and BPOs participated, representing 23 countries.

The independent jury made up of industry experts awarded 25 companies, one of them being T-Systems Slovakia (Košice) as the best IT services firm of the year in CEE – a recognition of company’s strong presence and considerable achievements in the region of Eastern Slovakia.
On top of that, number of Slovak centers as well as cities have been listed as finalists. The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) is especially pround that two Slovak cities out of three nominations were shortlisted as suitable SSC hubs. While SARIO submitted the city nominations the Business Service Center Forum on the platform of Amcham Slovakia did promote the possibility for nomination submissions among its members.

The shortlisted Slovak cities and companies were in the following categories:

Most Dynamically Developing City – CEE: Bratislava
Emerging City of the Year – CEE: Košice
SSC of Year – CEE: T-Systems Slovakia; JOHNSON CONTROLS INTERNATIONAL
IT services firm of the year in CEE: T-Systems Slovakia (winner)
BPO firm of the year – CEE: IBM International Services Centre
Most unique services provider – CEE: CBRE Outsourcing
Best University-Business cooperation of the Year: T-Systems Education Academy at local universities; Teaching @ University (Centre for North American Studies, Dell);

In the independent jury Tímea Balážová Hlohinec, Senior Consultant of the Investment Projects Department represented the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO). Thanks to the active communication of the event and the efforts by SARIO, Slovak representation in this year’s jury was enhanced by Peter Rusiňák, coordinator of the Forum business services centers BSCF.
