On April 19-20, 2023, representatives of the Investment Projects Department of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) participated in the Advanced Engineering 2023 held in the Swedish city of Gothenburg. As one of the event's main partners, similar to SARIO’s participation at Advanced Engineering 2021 in Birmingham, the agency was provided space to present its services, as well as the investment potential of Slovakia and thus gain interesting contacts with foreign companies and institutions.As the event took place in parallel with the Elektronik 2023 event, the main focus of the event was the electrical industry and innovations in this sector, with the representation of Swedish and other foreign companies from the field of development and production.As part of the conference program of the event, among others, Volvo Cars presented the company's latest plans, among which was the construction of a new production plant in Slovakia, which was assisted by the investment projects department of SARIO.During both days, SARIO representatives held several meetings with Swedish and foreign companies, agencies, and consulting companies to whom SARIO representatives presented and introduced SARIO services, the investment environment, and key sectors of Slovakia.It was confirmed that the recent investment by Volvo Cars has increased awareness and interest in Slovakia among many participating companies.
