SARIO co-organized Palestinian business mission to Slovakia

On June 24-27, 2012 the business mission of Palestinian entrepreneurs took place in Slovakia. The mission was organized by the Embassy of the SR in Israel in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce in Bethlehem, the Ministry of Economy of the SR, SARIO and Trnava Regional Chamber. The mission followed up a similar event held in Palestinian Bethlehem in March 2012.

 

The main goal of this event was to provide opportunity for Slovak and Palestinian companies to share contacts and start business dialogue in order to establish new business cooperation. Representatives of SARIO and the Ministry of Economy of the SR introduced to Palestinian entrepreneurs potential of Slovak business environment and possibilities of developing trade cooperation as well as investment in Slovakia. SARIO agency also presented its services for businesses operating in the foreign trade. Palestinian businessmen expressed their interest in creating joint ventures and setting up cooperation with Slovak SMEs operating mainly in the area of metals processing and stone cutting.

 

SARIO organized also B2B meetings where 13 companies took part, out of which 6 were from Palestine. Industry visits at selected plants with special focus on the area of waste management and recycling, as well as processing and production of toiletries were also part of the agenda.

 

Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) aims to support the development of the Slovak economy. The activities focus not only on support of foreign direct investment influx, but also on support of SMEs in terms of seeking for suitable export and trade opportunities abroad.
