Location Bratislava The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic held on 6 June 2013 Slovak-Ukrainian business forum in Bratislava. The event was designed to provide Slovak and Ukrainian companies the space to create new business contacts and mutual economic cooperation as well as to promote the development of cross-border cooperation in the Carpathian region. Traditional trade ties of Slovakia with Ukraine are due to historical and cultural interdependence of the two countries. Ukraine, the gateway to eastern markets, offers a significant potential for Slovakia, and the participants of the event were able to see it firsthand. Over 100 Ukrainian and Slovak businessmen who participated at the forum represented almost all sectors of both countries, among others, agriculture, engineering, construction, environment and many others.
