2025 China-CEEC SME Cooperation Forum Cangzhou Day

On 31 October 2025, the cooperation forum for small and medium-sized enterprises of China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, titled “2025 China-CEEC SME Cooperation Forum – Cangzhou Day,” was held at the Sheraton Hotel in Bratislava. The event was co-organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Beijing, the Cangzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Cangzhou Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and the China–CEEC SME Cooperation Zone in Cangzhou.

The event built upon the achievements of the previous six editions and further contributed to strengthening multisectoral cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises from China and Central and Eastern European countries. Thirty-one Chinese, sixty Slovak, and five companies from other CEE countries held approximately 150 B2B meetings, with many additional informal discussions taking place during the networking activities.

The forum opened with a promotional video of the city of Cangzhou, followed by speeches delivered by Wang Xiaojian, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Slovakia; Vladimír Šimoňák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic; and Zhang Cai, Secretary of the CPC Cangzhou Municipal Committee.

The section of the program dedicated to promoting cooperation featured two presentations. Sun Xirang, Director of the Cangzhou Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, introduced the city of Cangzhou, and Lukáš Merga, Foreign Trade Consultant at SARIO, presented the business and investment environment in Slovakia. The official program concluded with a ceremonial signing of memoranda and cooperation agreements, followed by two hours of intensive B2B meetings.
