GlobalTags News Business mission Národný projekt Austrália SMEs Teritórium Austrália The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, under the National Project Department, in cooperation with the Slovak Space Office and the Consulate General of Slovak Republic in Sydney, organized a Business mission to Sydney, Australia, from September 28th to October 3rd, 2025 ,where small and medium-sized enterprises participated in the International Astronautical Congress 2025. This business mission is 3rd in a row presenting Slovak SMEs at IAC events and once again confirmed that Slovakia and Slovak companies have a well-deserved place in the space industry.Eleven small and medium-sized companies focusing on the space industry took part in the mission: Astros Solutions s.r.o., CTRL s.r.o., GEODETICCA VISION, Global Singularity s.r.o., GROUNDCOM R&D SK, s.r.o., insar.sk s.r.o., NEEDRONIX s.r.o., Nice Visions s.r.o., Orbisys s.r.o., Touch4IT s.r.o., YMS a.s.On each day of the event, companies had the chaance to discuss business opportunities at the Slovak stand, where they invited selected partners. The stand was prepared as part of the Project of the Economic Diplomacy, delivered by the Consulate General of the Slovak republic in Sydney. SMEs also held meetings at other national pavilions, companies, and receptions and B2B events organized by foreign partners such as the Netherlands, Spain, the UAE, Germany, and others. Companies held more than 250 B2B meetings during the business mission.On Wednesday, October 1st, SARIO organized a networking event where participants presented their activities and services related to space technologies. Guests were interested in how Slovakia is involved in the space industry and how individual companies are specifically involved.The event opened with a speech by Slovak Consul General Martin Kabáč, followed by Jakub Birka, Director General of the Research and Development Section, Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic, and the final speaker was Michal Brichta, Director of the Implementation Unit of the Slovak Space Office.The event was attended by various relevant entities from the space industry, including IAF President Clay Mowry, along with Łukasz Wilczyński, Executive Director of IAC 2027, which will take place in Poznań, Poland. Mr. Wilczyński outlined the excellent opportunities for cooperation at this event, as its goal will not only to promote Poland in the space industry, but also to connect the entire region.We are convinced that Slovak companies have established successful business partnerships and strengthened relations with foreign partners, which may open up new opportunities for growth and expansion within the framework of international cooperation.
