Business mission to Indonesia and Singapore

The SARIO agency, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Embassy in Jakarta, organized a business mission of Slovak companies to Indonesia and Singapore from 1 to 5 February 2026. The mission was attended by 18 Slovak companies operating mainly in the fields of ICT, medtech, water and waste management, engineering, construction and logistics.

The first stop was the island of Bali, where the Minister of ZVEZ SR Juraj Blanár opened an honorary consulate with the aim of strengthening support for bilateral economic relations. The program also included a seminar on entrepreneurship and investment opportunities in Indonesia, which was practically presented by the Chairman of the Association of Czech and Slovak Entrepreneurs in Indonesia.

In Jakarta, the Indonesian-Slovak Business Forum was organized by the SARIO agency in cooperation with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN). The forum was opened by the Vice Chairman of KADIN and the General Director of SARIO. More than 50 Indonesian companies participated in the B2B negotiations, with approximately 80 meetings with the potential for further cooperation.

In the afternoon session, the Chairman of KADIN Anindya N. Bakrie and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár presented their opening remarks. The Chairman of KADIN highlighted Slovakia as a potential gateway to the EU and praised its technological capabilities, emphasis on clean energy and space for long-term partnerships. Minister Blanár recalled that this was the first ministerial visit in 16 years, and emphasized Slovakia's interest in strengthening cooperation in the ASEAN region through economic diplomacy.

The forum culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between SARIO and KADIN, followed by a panel discussion on investment opportunities in Indonesia, in which SARIO General Director Egon Zorád spoke and explained to those present in which areas Slovak companies excel and have the potential to succeed in the Indonesian market. The program in Jakarta was complemented by a reception for the delegation at the Ministry of Investment and Manufacturing Industry (BKPM).

The program in Jakarta also included a visit to Metindo company, a major Indonesian manufacturer of components and spare parts for the automotive industry. The Slovak business delegation, led by SARIO representatives, had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the company's production capacities, technological background and processes focused on quality and efficiency of production.

The business mission culminated in Singapore with a seminar on entrepreneurship and investment opportunities, which introduced the participants to the specifics of the local market and created a space for networking.

The business mission to Indonesia and Singapore confirmed mutual interest in deepening economic cooperation and opened up new opportunities in the dynamic markets of Southeast Asia. SARIO Agency actively supported the preparation of the program, identification of business or institutional partners, organization of a business forum and accompanying visits, thereby supporting the possibilities of Slovak companies to apply themselves in the promising markets of the ASEAN region.
