GlobalTags News Business mission Foreign trade Kirgizsko The SARIO agency, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Astana, organized a business mission to Kyrgyzstan on April 24-25, 2025. The business delegation represented 30 Slovak companies, mainly from the energy, environment, food, information and communication technologies, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering sectors. The main point of the mission's agenda was the Kyrgyz-Slovak Business Forum, which was opened with speeches by the Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic Sydykov Bakyt Tolomushevich and the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Juraj Blanár. In their speeches, representatives of both sides appreciated the cooperation and close understanding to date and highlighted new opportunities for the development of mutual exchanges in the field of investment and trade. "Our entrepreneurs can contribute in many areas, such as mechanical engineering, energy or water management, where we offer excellent expertise. Slovakia has quality experience in the case of hydroelectric power plants, we have one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in Europe - Gabčíkovo, which produces a huge amount of electricity," said Juraj Blanár, also drawing attention to the interest of the Kyrgyz side in the involvement of Slovak companies in the process of building small hydroelectric power plants or in some parts of the process of mining critical minerals.During more than a hundred B2B and B2G negotiations with representatives of 45 Kyrgyz companies and institutions, Slovak companies had the opportunity to establish new or deepen existing business partnerships in Kyrgyzstan.
