GlobalTags News Business mission Portugal Support for SMEs National Project Teritórium Portugalsko The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), within the National Project “Support for the Internationalization of SMEs 2”, organized a business mission to Lisbon from 9 to 14 November 2025. The mission aimed to create new opportunities for Slovak SMEs to expand and build partnerships in one of Europe’s fastest-growing markets for digital technologies and innovation. A delegation of 21 SMEs took part in the mission: Upfan, Elevon.io, Zooza, Medic Labor, Fintegence, Decent Cybersecurity, Ques, SAMETA, Global Singularity, norriv, SCR Technologies, inoby, DTnet Detva, Mundos Investments, AV Activities, PREMY, Opinest, CorpFin, Instea, Innovatrics, and Payout. A key element of the mission was participation in Web Summit 2025, one of Europe’s largest and most influential events focused on technology, digital innovation, and the startup ecosystem. The summit brings together startups, investors, global companies, and media, offering a strong platform for presenting new trends and building business connections. The program also included a working breakfast where company representatives met with Slovakia’s Economic Diplomat in Portugal, Branislav Pochaba. Participants attended a specialist lecture covering essential insights into the Portuguese market and the local business environment. Podujatie poskytlo priestor na nadviazanie nových kontaktov, výmenu skúseností a prezentáciu inovácií slovenských firiem partnerom z Portugalska a ďalších krajín. Slovak companies took part in a networking reception hosted by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Lisbon at the invitation of the Slovak Ambassador to Portugal, Tibor Králik. The event created space for new connections, the exchange of experience, and the presentation of Slovak innovations to partners from Portugal and other countries. During the mission, Slovak SMEs held more than 250 B2B meetings. The business mission delivered valuable experience and insights into current trends in digital technologies, innovation, and sustainable business. Through this initiative, SARIO supported the internationalization of Slovak SMEs, strengthened their global visibility, and opened new opportunities for business expansion in foreign markets.
