GlobalTags News Foreign trade Business mission Ukrajina The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), in cooperation with the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy, organized a business mission to the Ukrainian city of Lviv from 10 to 12 March 2026. The mission focused on supporting the networking of Slovak and Ukrainian companies, particularly in the context of involving Slovak enterprises in the future reconstruction of Ukraine.The organizational partner of SARIO’s mission in the territory was the Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UkraineInvest and the Lviv City Council. The Slovak business delegation consisted of 10 companies, while 20 local entities participated on the Ukrainian side representing various sectors including construction, energy, engineering, the furniture industry, the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, information technologies, transport and logistics, manufacturing and energy technologies.The central part of the mission program, delivered by SARIO, was the Slovak–Ukrainian Business Forum held on 11 March 2026. The forum served as a platform to present the business and investment environments of both countries and to discuss opportunities for Slovak entities to engage in Ukraine’s reconstruction, in the context of both national and international initiatives. During the Forum, more than 30 B2B meetings were held, allowing Slovak and Ukrainian companies to identify concrete areas for cooperation and establish new business relationships.As part of the Forum program, thematic presentations were delivered by the organizing partners, including the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and the Knowledge Economy, focusing on current priorities and plans for the reconstruction of Ukraine. The Ukrainian business environment and investment opportunities in Ukraine were presented by representatives of the Lviv Chamber of Commerce and Industry and UkraineInvest. Financial instruments and opportunities to support promising projects were introduced by the European Investment Bank’s representation in Ukraine. SARIO presented the Slovak investment environment and opportunities for the development of business relations between Slovakia and Ukraine. Following the conclusion of the business forum, the program continued at the Lviv City Council, where support opportunities for Slovak entrepreneurs, successful investment projects, and further prospects for cooperation in the city of Lviv were presented.The business mission to Ukraine provided Slovak companies with a concrete platform to establish partnerships and engage in upcoming reconstruction projects. Participation in the forum and bilateral meetings enabled companies to better understand the current needs of the Ukrainian market, identify business opportunities, and discuss practical forms of cooperation directly with potential Ukrainian partners.In cooperation with partners, SARIO ensured the preparation of the program, including the identification of suitable partners, the organization of B2B meetings, and accompanying activities, thereby contributing to the creation of tangible opportunities for the development of Slovak–Ukrainian business relations.
