GlobalTags News Foreign trade Business mission Business forum Poland The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Warsaw and the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), organised a business mission to the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland from 19 to 21 May 2026. The Slovak business delegation consisted of eight companies representing the logistics, information technology, engineering, plastics and food industries. The main highlight of the mission was participation in the Poland-Slovakia Economic Cooperation Forum, held on 20 May in Niechorze.The programme featured presentations by Dagmar Urbanová, Economic Diplomat of the Slovak Republic in Poland, as well as representatives of PAIH and the Northern Chamber of Commerce. Speakers emphasised the importance of such initiatives in strengthening bilateral business relations and creating new opportunities for cooperation between Slovak and Polish companies.The event brought together 23 Polish companies, which participated in B2B meetings with Slovak counterparts during the afternoon programme. In total, 40 pre-arranged business meetings took place.In addition to business representatives, the forum was attended by representatives of key regional and sectoral organisations, including the Northern Chamber of Commerce, which, with more than 1,800 member companies, is among the most prominent business chambers in Poland, the Kołobrzeg Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Industrial Development Agency, the Polish Chamber for the Development of Electromobility, the IT Cluster and the West Pomeranian Cluster.Alongside participation in the forum, Slovak companies took part in an accompanying programme focused on regional development and cooperation opportunities. The Polish side organised meetings with representatives of local governments and regional authorities, including the mayors of Goleniów, Gryfice, Brojce and Rewal, the Mayor of Szczecin and the Vice-Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.These meetings were particularly appreciated by companies whose solutions are aimed at cooperation with municipalities and public sector institutions. The programme also included visits to selected companies operating in the West Pomerania region.The business mission confirmed strong interest in further developing economic cooperation and presented West Pomerania as a promising region of Poland, offering well-developed infrastructure and favourable conditions for Slovak companies seeking to enter and expand in the Polish market.The event also attracted media attention and was covered by regional television, highlighting the openness of both sides, cultural proximity and the shared willingness to strengthen economic cooperation.
