The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), under the National Project “Support for the Internationalization of SMEs 2,” organized a business mission to Singapore from April 21 to 26, 2025.
A total of 15 Slovak SMEs participated in the mission: 3IPK, alab solutions, BatteryCheck, CorpFin, EKOSERVIS SLOVENSKO, eROBOT, GAMO, GEODETICCA VISION, Instea, Newton Tech, Opinest, PredictiveDataScience, SCR design, Sensoneo, and Sudo Labs.

The main highlight of the mission was participation in GITEX Asia 2025, which provided Slovak SMEs with a platform to showcase their activities and establish valuable business connections. The event focused on key sectors such as technology and innovation, artificial intelligence, smart cities, green technologies, telecommunications, and cloud computing.

As part of the GITEX Asia program, the Slovak delegation held a meeting with Peter Kmec, Deputy Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic for the Recovery Plan and Knowledge Economy, who took part in a panel discussion on trends and innovations shaping the future development of smart cities.

In cooperation with the Central and Eastern European Chamber of Commerce Singapore (CEEC), SARIO organized a networking event during the mission, which included pre-arranged B2B meetings between Slovak SMEs and local partners.
In total, the Slovak companies held 190 meetings with Singaporean business entities, creating opportunities to forge new business relationships and explore potential areas of cooperation.

The program also included a specialized seminar on the business environment in Singapore, financing opportunities, and intellectual property protection. The seminar featured an expert presentation on doing business in Singapore, organized in cooperation with Hawksford. Additionally, participants received expert advice on public funding from specialists at FI Group, while intellectual property topics were covered by experts from Withers.

The official program of the business mission was also supported by H.E. Tomáš Ferko, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Jakarta, who personally attended the networking event, the seminar, and the GITEX Asia exhibition.
The business mission to Singapore offered Slovak small and medium-sized enterprises a unique opportunity to gain insights into the legal framework of doing business in Singapore, connect with local partners, promote their companies, and move closer to expanding their presence in Asian markets.
