The Three Seas Initiative is a cooperation platform for countries in Central and Eastern Europe. It focuses on improving connections between countries from the Baltic Sea, through the Adriatic Sea, to the Black Sea. This year’s Summit focused in particular on major infrastructure projects, energy security, transport modernisation, and the digital transformation of the region. Key topics also included LNG, renewable energy sources, small modular reactors, transmission systems, and smart digital solutions.

The Summit was accompanied by a large-scale international business forum, which this year became the largest in the history of the Three Seas Initiative. It brought together approximately 1,600 participants and more than 700 companies from 45 countries. In addition to the participating member states, strong delegations from the United States and Japan were also present, with Slovakia ranking as the sixth-largest delegation.

Over the course of two days, Slovak companies took part in more than 150 B2B meetings with potential partners and also attended expert panel discussions and networking events. In cooperation with Croatian partners, SARIO also supported the participation of selected Slovak companies in the forum programme, including working lunches and dinners. A representative of JAVYS participated as a speaker in a panel discussion dedicated to nuclear energy, while a representative of Decent Cybersecurity participated as a speaker in a panel focused on cybersecurity and digital solutions.

He also expressed satisfaction with the Slovak delegation’s participation and, following discussions with business representatives attending the forum, noted that these meetings were highly valued according to their feedback.

The President also highlighted that Slovakia aims to actively contribute during its Presidency of the Three Seas Initiative in 2027 to the development of human capital and to support practical solutions in energy, innovation, and regional competitiveness.

The participation of Slovak companies in the Summit gave them the opportunity to build new business contacts, discuss concrete projects, and access current trends and investment opportunities in key sectors across the region.
