Business opportunities in Ukraine – webinar & online consultations
 
The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), in cooperation with the Slovak Embassy in Kiev (Ukraine), organized a webinar entitled "Business Opportunities in Ukraine", which was devoted to the macroeconomic, legal and business aspects of doing business in Ukraine. The law firm PETERKA & PARTNERS contributed to the content of the webiner as well. Subsequently, a high representative of the company called SITNO PHARMA, Ltd.. presented practical advices important while entering the Ukrainian market.
 
On Tuesday, May 4th, 2021, a webinar entitled "Business Opportunities in Ukraine", that included free-of-charge online consultations, was held online. After the initial welcome of the participants, an openning speech was delivered by Mr. Andrej Koleda, Deputy Director of the Foreign Trade Department, and eventually by H.E. Mr. Marek Šafin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to Ukraine.
After the introductory speeches, the expert contributions were made by Mrs. Soňa Krajčová, First Secretary and Economic Diplomat at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Kiev, Mr. Ján Makara, partner and commercial lawyer from the law firm PETERKA & PARTNERS and Mr. Ľudovít Černák, CEO of SITNO PHARMA, Ltd., which has been doing business in Ukraine and trading with it for quite a long time.

Following the expert contributions, the questions or inquiries within the Q&A panel were also answered. By means of this panel, the Slovak entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial bodies and enterprises asked the panelists directly some questions related to the doing business in Ukraine and how to enter this market.
The number of the webinar participants was hovering at level of 33. On the next day, May 5th, 2021, online consultations took place, during which as many as 8 meetings were held between the law firm PETERKA & PARTNERS and SARIO on the one side and Slovak exporting-capable companies on the other. During this session, a meeting between the Slovak scientific institution and the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Kiev took place as well. Hence there were as many as 9 simultaneous online consultations in total.
