The Czech–Slovak Business Forum 2025 took place in Žilina.

On September 24, 2025, the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bratislava, organized a cooperation event – the Czech–Slovak Business Forum 2025. The event took place at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Žilina and aimed to foster business cooperation between Slovak and Czech small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through bilateral meetings.


The forum was officially opened by Rudolf Jindrák, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Slovakia; Petr Darmovzal, Trade Counsellor at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Slovakia; Pavol Vitek, Chairman of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Žilina; and Jiří Dorňák, Representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

 


 

The event provided a platform for establishing personal contacts and building business relationships in sectors such as mechanical engineering, defense industry, electrical engineering, energy (including renewables), construction, water management, environmental technologies, wood and furniture industries, food production, and information and communication technologies.
 

A total of 78 companies participated in the forum – 58 from Slovakia and 20 from the Czech Republic and other countries. Nearly 260 B2B meetings were held during the event, highlighting the growing interest in strengthening cross-border cooperation between businesses in both countries.

 


The event was held under the National Project "Support for the Internationalization of SMEs 2", part of the Slovakia Programme, within Specific Objective RSO1.3 – Strengthening the sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs.

 

 

Co-organizers of the forum included the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Olomouc Region, the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Moravian-Silesian Region, the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the Zlín Region, the Regional Chamber of Commerce Brno, and the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Žilina Regional Chamber.

The forum proved to be an effective platform for Slovak and Czech companies seeking new partnerships, joint projects, and opportunities to strengthen their presence in international markets.
