International Development Cooperation

The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), together with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic (MZVEZ SR) and the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation (SAMRS), hosted the fourth edition of the event “Zapojte sa do rozvojovej spolupráce ” (Join Development Cooperation Initiatives).

The event focused on opportunities for Slovak business to engage in development cooperation projects, particularly through grant-based initiatives, which were presented by Samuel Zlatos from SAMRS and Alžbeta Šlauková from MZVEZ SR.

Participants were also introduced to procurement tools within the framework of development cooperation. Support mechanisms for Slovak companies participating in activities in developing countries, as well as project financing options, were presented by Matúš Šársky from Eximbanka SR. Opportunities for collaboration with non-governmental organizations and for building effective partnerships were presented by the AMBRELA platform. The practical aspect of the event was further enriched by representatives from ASIO-SK and REAVIA, who shared their hands-on experiences from implementing projects in the field of development cooperation.

This year, over 60 participants showed interest in the event, reflecting the growing engagement of Slovak business entities in development cooperation and highlighting its potential as an area of new opportunities.
