Investment Seminar in Denmark

Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) continues its mission to attract foreign investors and to strengthen trade relations. The representatives of the Business Development Department participated in the investment seminar in Copenhagen.


The New Market Opportunities event was prepared by the Confederation of Danish Industry (DI) in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Denmark.


The objective of the seminar was to introduce to the Danish entrepreneurs Slovakia and investment opportunities in our country and present SARIO as a gateway for foreign investments. The representatives of 18 companies received the comprehensive information about the project Business Friendly Slovakia explaining the advantages of the business environment, new plans to eliminate administrative burdens, investment opportunities in Slovakia, its labour-market potential as well as the current changes in labour and investment incentives legislation and constantly evolving infrastructure.


The investment seminar program included the speeches of established Danish investors in Slovakia: Marius Pedersen A/S - company operating in waste treatment industry- and Knudsen Plast producing plastic components for medical use. Both companies testified their first hand experience with Slovak business environment and pointed out the high qualification of Slovak labour force and also the willingness of Slovak employeed to work for Scandinavian management. The official program was followed by the bilateral meetings of SARIO representatives and Danish companies.


SARIO´s aim is to be a modern agency, which will be perceived by foreign investors and domestic partners as a vehicle for growth and innovation. SARIO wants to assist to the development of the Slovak economy in the maximum extent possible by attracting new investment and offering trade support, which shall bring its results in creation of new jobs and ultimately increase the living standards in Slovakia.
