National stand at the Gulfood 2026 Trade Fair

The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) organized a national stand at the Gulfood 2026 trade fair, which took place from January 26 to 30, 2026, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, as part of the national project "Support for the Internationalization of SMEs 2."

10 Slovak companies focusing on the food industry exhibited at the national stand: ANilab s.r.o., Eko spotreba s.r.o., HORTI s.r.o., Lekos, s.r.o. Trebišov, MAJA s.r.o., Orieshock s. r. o., Slike s.r.o., SlovChips s.r.o., Smoo to go, s. r. o. and Tekmar Slovensko.

The event provided companies with numerous opportunities to present and promote their products, which attracted considerable interest from foreign entities. The visit by Ambassador Maxim Pacek and economic diplomat Radovan Hudák from the Slovak Embassy in Abu Dhabi, together with the Vice-Chairman of the Slovak Business Council – UAE Boris Fugger, who introduced companies to the business environment in the United Arab Emirates, the opportunities that the territory offers, as well as advice and useful tips on what to focus on and what to avoid when doing business in that country.

Gulfood is one of the largest food events in the world, this year it took place at two exhibition centers, hosting more than 8,500 exhibitors and attracting nearly one million visitors. Slovak companies held 2 500 B2B meetings and rated the event as one of the most successful in this segment.
