GlobalTags Fairs & exhibitions News Support for SMEs Dubai United Arab Emirates National Project Teritórium UAE From February 9 to 12, 2026, the Slovak Republic participated in one of the world's premier medical trade fairs – World Health Expo 2026 in Dubai. The presence of Slovak companies was organised by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) as part of the national project Support for Internationalisation of SMEs 2. The Slovak national pavilion proudly featured 9 innovative companies: Sky Medical, Readen Steel, Nuclear Power, MultiplexDX, Medexim, Chirana Progress, Chirana Medical, Elmax Žilina, Anasoft APR. The mission of the national stand was to promote Slovak technological solutions in healthcare, strengthen exports, and cultivate new business opportunities worldwide. Throughout the expo, these companies conducted over 600 meetings with potential partners, investors, and industry professionals from across the world. The event kicked off on Monday with a successful series of presentations and B2B meetings. The highlight of the second day, February 10, 2026, was the official inauguration of the national pavilion. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by SARIO CEO Egon Zorád and the Deputy Head of Mission of the Slovak Embassy in Abu Dhabi, Maxim Pacek, who both delivered opening remarks to the Slovak delegation. Alongside Economic Diplomat Radovan Hudák, they discussed the companies' product portfolios and export potential in the UAE market. A significant milestone was reached during the ceremony when SARIO CEO Egon Zorád and Karol Sereday, Chairman of the Slovak Business Council, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. This agreement establishes a framework for intensive collaboration between the two institutions to further support Slovak exports to the UAE. Slovakia's participation at World Health Expo 2026 has once again reaffirmed the high quality of Slovak innovative solutions and their competitive edge in international markets.
