SARIO Agency publishes annual report for 2025: Results speak for themselves

The annual report of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) summarizes  concrete results and outlines the scope of  its work in the area of attracting investments and supporting the export of Slovak companies. It shows that  these results are driven by professional  daily work – systematic communication with investors and relevant partners, project preparation, and active presence in foreign markets.

Investor trust brings new investment opportunities
In 2025, SARIO successfully concluded 33 investment projects worth more than EUR 439 million, with the potential to create almost 3,300 jobs. Of these, 8 projects represent expansions of already established companies that have decided to further develop their activities in Slovakia, which is a signal of trust in and stability of the investment environment.

'SARIO's services and care for established investors  bring very concrete benefits for Slovakia, and interest in them is growing. Our experience shows that proactive communication and addressing  companies’ needs lead to the identification of new investment and expansion opportunities. Last year, we held almost a hundred meetings with investors and identified 32 expansion plans, which confirms that this agenda is not formal,' said Egon Zorád, CEO of SARIO.

Coordination  between the state and regions delivers results
The agency's results have also been supported by close cooperation with several relevant institutions. SARIO has long-term cooperation with the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic, the Office of the Government of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, and local governments, especially in business missions and strategic investment projects. It also runs a joint project, the Slovak Space Office, with the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth of the Slovak Republic, and synergistically coordinates its activities with many domestic and foreign partners, industry associations, and chambers of commerce.

Export support and new tools for companies
The SARIO agency strengthened export support  toward fast-growing markets in Asia, Africa, and the Middle East through comprehensive services. In 2025, it prepared  tailored programs for business delegations accompanying high-ranking state representatives, provided services to exhibitors at trade fairs, participants in seminars  and cooperation events, as well as those interested in supplier-customer cooperation or pro-export tools.

'Supporting the export of Slovak companies is a significant part of our activities. Last year, we prepared  around one hundred export support events, created space for thousands of business negotiations, and served hundreds of  Slovak and foreign companies. We are particularly pleased with the positive feedback from these companies, which motivates us to continue our work,' added Zorád.

SARIO: 25 years of investment and export support
The year 2026 is a significant milestone for SARIO. On October 1, 2026, the agency will celebrate 25 years of operation.

By the end of 2025, it had closed 720 investment projects worth EUR 18.1 billion, which created 154,000 jobs and supported more than 2,000 pro-export events.

In a highly competitive global environment, these figures are the result of systematic work with investors, exporters, and partners. They bring real long-term economic benefits to Slovakia and at the same time open up space for growth in added value for people, businesses, and the country.
