Held in Austin alongside SXSW, one of the world's largest gatherings of innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors, Slovak House successfully positioned Slovakia as a country of talent, innovation, and investment potential. Texas: A Land of Opportunity for Slovak BusinessesIf Texas were its own country, it would be the 8th largest economy in the world—a place where businesses scale fast and opportunities are truly limitless. Texas is a global leader in innovation, technology, energy, defense, and aerospace, attracting companies from around the world to establish and grow their businesses. Texans take great pride in their success, and as Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson emphasized during her keynote address, “It’s not bragging if it’s true.” Connecting Slovak Companies with Texas Opportunities Slovakia came to show exactly why its companies are ready to be part of that success. The event brought together 15 Slovak small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs): ARPenviro, AT Crystals, AVENIAS Tax, BARANI DESIGN, Barney Studio, Ecocapsule, e-Robot, GAMO, Infoland, insar.sk (AstraVigil), LeoTronics, SCR Design, SCR Technologies, T2 Europe, and Touch4IT.These companies had the opportunity to connect directly with Texas-based businesses, investors, and accelerators. The morning sessions focused on the advantages of doing business in Slovakia and how its key industries align with Texas’ booming economy. Slovak entrepreneurs who have built successful ventures in the U.S. also shared their firsthand experiences.The afternoon featured insights from Texas business leaders, investors, and accelerators on how Slovak companies can enter and scale in the Texas market. With SXSW as the backdrop, attendees also gained access to high-profile networking opportunities across Austin.The evening networking session provided a rare chance to build meaningful business relationships, reinforcing that Slovakia and Texas are a natural business match.Slovakia is Open for Business with Texas Slovakia has a lot to be proud of, and the SARIO team made sure that message was heard. Vladimír Lackovič, SARIO’s Special Representative to the U.S. for Trade and Investment, together with Nikola Kmecová, SARIO’s FDI Consultant, presented Slovakia’s business environment, investment potential, and the key reasons why Slovakia is an ideal destination for Texas and American companies looking to expand and invest. They highlighted Slovakia’s strategic advantages, skilled workforce, and thriving industries, making the case for why Slovakia should be on the radar of U.S. businesses seeking a competitive edge in Europe.
