GlobalTags News Fairs & exhibitions Germany Národný projekt Podpora MSP From October 4 to 8, 2025, the Slovak Republic participated in the international trade fair ANUGA Fine Food 2025 in Cologne, one of the world’s leading events in the food and beverage sector. The participation of Slovak companies was organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) within the framework of the national project “Support for the Internationalization of SMEs 2.” Slovakia was represented in a joint national exhibition featuring 10 Slovak companies: A+Z, Rišňovský, Halász, ARIKA, Banskobystrický pivovar, BGV, Drinkera SK, GAS Familia, Healthy Planet, RISO-R, Tekmar Slovensko, and Tomata. The aim of the participation was to promote Slovak food producers, support export development, and establish new business partnerships. Throughout the exhibition, Slovak companies actively engaged with industry professionals, importers, distributors, and representatives of retail chains from across Europe. The trade fair saw a high number of visitors over the weekend, with strong interest from professionals in Slovak products. Monday was expected to be the peak day of the event, traditionally attracting the highest number of professional visitors and business meetings. On Sunday, the Slovak national stand was visited by Miriam Rafajová, Economic Diplomat from the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Berlin. She met with all exhibitors and discussed opportunities to strengthen the export of Slovak food products to the German market. On Tuesday, Klaus Wegener, Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic based in Dortmund and responsible for the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, visited the Slovak stand. During his visit, he spoke individually with entrepreneurs about their products, experiences on the German market, and potential for further cooperation in one of Germany’s most dynamic economic regions. In addition to the joint exhibition, 22 other Slovak companies were present at the Koelnmesse exhibition grounds, underscoring the growing interest of Slovak businesses in exports and international presence in the food sector. Slovakia’s participation at ANUGA 2025 once again confirmed the strong export potential of Slovak producers, the high quality of their products, and their ability to establish a presence in international markets.
