Slovak Investment Potential Successfully Presented in Stockholm

On May 28, 2026, the investment seminar titled "Developing Your Business in Slovakia" took place in the representative premises of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Stockholm. The event was organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in close cooperation with the Slovak Embassy in Stockholm. 

The main objective of the seminar was to present our country's investment potential, open doors to new foreign capital, and stimulate economic development through strategic innovations.

Expert Program and the Slovak Investment Environment
The event was officially opened with a speech by economic diplomat Michal Tonhauser, who welcomed the guests and outlined the main goals of bilateral cooperation. The opening remarks were followed by a professional presentation on the Slovak investment environment, expertly delivered by SARIO Senior Consultants, Kristína Krajčírová and Soňa Bódisová.

Success Stories of Swedish Companies
The seminar once again confirmed that the most authentic promotion of Slovakia abroad comes from the real success stories of companies that have long-standing and established operations in our country. In this regard, a major contribution to the participants was the speech by the Managing Director of SWEP Slovakia Radovan Baranyi. In his presentation, he shared the story of this leader in heat exchanger manufacturing, which has been successfully operating in Slovakia for 20 years and continues to grow steadily in the Kechnec Industrial Park.

The second success story from practice was presented by Volvo Car Corporation, represented by Martin Seman and Stuart Franke-Templar. Their presentation detailed the construction of one of the most modern automotive plants in the world, which represents the largest investment in the history of Eastern Slovakia. At the same time, they expressed their satisfaction with investing in our country to the event participants.

Networking and New Investment Opportunities
The event was attended by 15 prominent figures, leading experts, and key representatives of the corporate sector. The participants highly appreciated the opportunity to establish a direct dialogue. The investment seminar in Stockholm successfully presented Slovakia's potential to Swedish investors. 

We believe that the established contacts will bring concrete investment opportunities and serve as a strong impulse for the development of further joint activities between Slovakia and Sweden.
