Slovakia and Uzbekistan strengthen economic relations

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic Denisa Saková met with Uzbek Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamahmudov, with whom she discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, renewable sources, water management and industrial investments. The meeting was part of the official visit of the Uzbek government delegation to Slovakia, the aim of which was to deepen economic cooperation between the two countries. 

An important point on the agenda was the Slovak-Uzbek Business Forum, which was attended by 23 Slovak companies, presenting solutions in the field of energy, water management, infrastructure, industry and innovation.

The business forum was organized by the SARIO agency in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Vienna with the aim of strengthening and developing business relations between the Slovak Republic and Uzbekistan, opening new business opportunities for Slovak companies and establishing partnerships with Uzbek enterprises and state institutions. 

The business forum was opened with speeches by Vladimír Šimoňák, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, and Akram Aliev, State Secretary of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan.
