The Slovak Trade and Investment Development Agency (SARIO) has given, within the National project, an initiative under the Operational Program Research and Innovations, the opportunity to six Slovak small and middle-sized enterprises to present themselves by participating at Slovakia’s national stand at the Big 5 trade fair in Dubai, UAE.The Big 5 trade fair is the Dubai’s biggest platform for the construction industry, connecting providers of products and services from around the world. The fair brings under one roof all kinds of building materials, products and solutions from this field. Thousands of advanced technologies and solutions were presented by exhibitors from the Near & Middle East, Europe, and America. In attendance were architects, engineers, builders, suppliers, sales people, interior designers, consultants and building industry experts.The focus of the fair was on mechanical, electrical and plumbing services (MEP), interiors and surface treatment, special constructions, building tools and materials, building technologies and innovations, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). The significance of Slovakia’s participation at the fair was underlined by the visit of the Slovak ambassador to UAE, Mr. Dušan Horniak, who visited the stand on 27th November and spent some time discussing with each participating company about their production programme and about options for business in UAE.The goal of Slovak SMEs’ participation was to use the opportunity for presentation of their business and for showing partners what they offer,as well as to establish new contacts and with the aim of reaching business agreements in the future and increasing the companies’ exports.Throughout the implementation period of the National project 'Supportof internationalization of SMEs', SARIO plans to organize around 75 events with participation of Slovak SMEs in national stands at interesting trade fairs.Click on the thumbnail to watch a short clip from theConstruction Trade Fair The Big 5 Dubai 2018 (YouTube).
