GlobalTags News Foreign trade Investments India The SARIO agency continuously develops partnerships with foreign business organizations, enabling the realization of bilateral business forums even beyond activities tied to official state visits.On Friday, May 29, 2026, thanks to our network of foreign partners, we organized the Slovakia-India Business Forum at the SPP Gallery in Bratislava. The Indian partner of the forum was the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), with which the SARIO agency signed a memorandum of cooperation early last year.India represents a foreign market with significant potential, and it is a strategic advantage to utilize such forums to find relevant and established partners in this market. The Indian delegation consisted of fifteen business entities representing the sectors of renewable energy, water and waste management, construction, human resources, and defense. The Slovak side was represented by twenty-nine business entities from similar sectors, for whom the SARIO agency pre-scheduled eighty individual B2B meetings.The program of the business forum was opened by Andrea Krajčíková, Director General of the Foreign Trade Policy and European Affairs Section, together with the Ambassador of India, Apoorva Srivastava. The opening of the forum then continued with speeches by Egon Zorád, CEO of the SARIO agency, and Girish Luthra, Head of the Indian delegation and Chairman of the Luthra Group. Andrea Mihaličková, Consultant at the SARIO Investment Projects Department, familiarized the Indian participants with the Slovak business environment through a presentation.In addition, as part of the itinerary, the SARIO agency arranged site visits for the Indian companies to selected businesses that aligned with the sectoral focus of the Indian delegation. The first group, focusing on waste and water management, toured the Petržalka wastewater treatment plant operated by the Bratislavská vodárenská spoločnosť. The remaining two groups representing the defense sector visited AUVSAVE, a drone development company, and the Dual Academy, which presented the practical application of the dual education concept to the Indian entrepreneursThe business forum has become part of increasingly active relations with India. We are convinced that India will play an ever more crucial role in the global economy. Our current cooperation, which has been developing intensively in recent years, is proof of this. Based on our achievements so far, we anticipate further deepening of business ties and the launch of new initiatives that will bring mutual benefit.
