GlobalTags News Foreign trade Cooperation events Poland Nearly one hundred Slovak and Polish companies gathered at the Slovak-Polish Economic Cooperation Forum. The event in Rzeszów, Podkarpackie Voivodeship—bordering Slovakia’s Prešov Region—was organized by the Slovak Embassy in Warsaw and the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) with the aim of fostering trade and investment ties between the two countries.Slovakia’s Ambassador to Poland, Andrea Elscheková Matisová, highlighted the regional potential of southeastern Poland and northeastern Slovakia, rooted in historical and human connections.“I am convinced that we can build on strong traditions in mechanical engineering and electrical engineering, and further develop this synergy through the information and communication technologies sector as well as the aviation industry,” the Ambassador stated.The program included individual consultations, B2B meetings, and presentations of successful examples of cooperation between Slovak and Polish enterprises. Forum partners included the V4 Group, the Polish-Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH), Polish company Asseco Poland operating in Slovakia, Slovakia Travel, and the Special Economic Zone Euro-Park Mielec. Karol Ozóg, a representative of the Podkarpackie regional government, also took part.On behalf of SARIO, investment consultants from the Investment Projects Department, Kristína Krajčírová and Jozef Olach, introduced the investment environment in Slovakia and presented specific cooperation opportunities to Polish companies. Slovak firms had the chance to meet Polish partners during 95 pre-arranged B2B sessions and establish new business opportunities.The event was attended by 16 representatives from 11 Slovak companies and 67 Polish partners, primarily from the mechanical engineering, aerospace, electrical engineering, and ICT sectors.
