GlobalTags News Event NY Tech Week USA In the heart of Manhattan during NY Tech Week 2024, Slovakia stood shoulder to shoulder with Europe’s leading innovation hubs at The Future of European Tech - a major showcase co-organized by the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) and 15 other European partners.This unprecedented collaboration brought together 16 European countries to spotlight their top startups and tech ecosystems in front of a high-profile audience of over 350 curated guests, including venture capitalists, founders, diplomats, and tech investors. The event highlighted Europe’s increasing influence on global tech—and Slovakia’s rising role within it. Slovakia was represented by two standout startups: Akular (augmented reality in real estate), and Supercity AI (AI to modernize urban communication and community engagement). Both companies exemplified the talent, creativity, and global potential of the Slovak tech sector. SARIO was represented by Vladimír Lackovič, Representative to the U.S. for Trade and Investment, who organized Slovakia’s involvement and secured strong visibility among Europe’s top tech nations.The event was made possible through a coordinated effort among consulates, trade and innovation agencies, with La French Tech and Swissnex serving as the primary hosts and bringing together a unified European presence at NY Tech Week.With growing visibility in global markets and a strong pipeline of startups, Slovakia is emerging as a competitive hub for scalable, high-impact technology.
