GlobalTags News Foreign trade Investments Fairs & exhibitions China The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in Shanghai represented the investment and trade potential of Slovakia in the form of a national stand at this year's 25th China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen, China.CIFIT is the largest and most important investment fair in China, which is held annually under the auspices of MOFCOM and is one of the key global platforms for supporting bilateral and multilateral investments. This year, the thematic focus was also on supporting two-way investments. With a special emphasis on areas such as green technologies, artificial intelligence, low-altitude economy, biotechnology, as well as research and development, CIFIT attracted participants from more than 120 countries and regions and 11 international organizations. The representative stands of more than 15,000 companies and institutions from 51 countries and regions of the world were visited by more than 80,000 professional visitors and over 5,000 companies. Participants participated in more than 70 thematic forums, investment conferences and more than 100 matchmaking meetings between investors and project partners.The Slovak Republic's participation at the fair was secured on an area of 36 m2. Beside SARIO there were also 5 Slovak companies operating in the services, industrial real estate, tax consulting, relocation of workers and logistics sectors. Assistance at the national stand and the representation of Slovakia at accompanying events were provided by SARIO consultants Anna Uhnáková and Lukáš Merga.The two main events of this year's CIFIT included the European Countrie/Regions Investment Roadshow, where SARIO representatives gave a presentation on the investment and business environment of Slovakia to a professional audience, and the 2025 Supply Chain Cooperation and Innovation Conference, where SARIO was invited to a debate and also gave the closing speech of the conference. During this business trip to China, SARIO also attended investment seminars in the cities of Shanghai and Luoyang. For several participants, it was their first acquaintance with Slovakia, while others are already developing specific investment plans in the CEE region and considering locating their production in Slovakia.SARIO representatives were also part of the delegation of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic Vladimir Šimoňák in Hefei at the 2025 World Manufacturing Convention, where Slovakia had the status of an honorary country.
