Seoul Investment Seminar

SARIO, through its representative in South Korea, organized an investment seminar for Korean companies operating in the automotive industry, e-mobility, information and communication technologies (ICT), and smart technologies sectors. 

The event was held on 12th June 2026 in the Seoul Startup Hub with the support of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Seoul, the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), and the law firm Sigong Law.

The seminar was officially opened by Marek Repovský, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Korea. SARIO was represented by its designated expert for South Korea, Michal Dutko, and Simona Jurkovičová, Director of the Investment Projects Department, who presented Slovakia as an attractive destination for investment, research and development, and business cooperation. 

The programme also featured a presentation by Ken Lee, Honorary Consul of the Slovak Republic in South Korea, who shared the experience of Hanjoo Light Metal, a Korean company successfully established in Slovakia.

The seminar concluded with a presentation by a representative of Sigong Law, focusing on key aspects of the Slovak legal framework relevant to foreign investors. The programme also included a Q&A session and an open discussion.

The active participation and questions raised by representatives of Korean companies confirmed the continuing interest in investing in Slovakia and exploring further opportunities for strengthening Slovak–Korean economic cooperation.
