Business mission to Israel

Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) continues its mission “Business Friendly Slovakia” which aims at Slovakia´s nation branding, promotion of its business environment and FDI attraction. SARIO organized a business mission to Israel taking place on November 11-13, 2012. The delegation of Slovak businessmen, who have prepared a series of trade negotiations, will be headed by the Tomáš Malatinský, the Minister of Economy of the SR, Robert Simoncic, SARIO CEO and their teams.

 

During the visit to Israel SARIO representatives will focus mainly on meetings with potential investors – successful Israeli companies as well as meetings with Israeli institutions and scientific and technological incubators. The negotiations will also contain meetings with the Israeli Ministry for Industry, Trade and Labour as well as signing of the Joint Statement concerning cooperation in Private Sector Industrial Research and Development.

 

“Israeli companies have great potential for investment in Slovakia. They have the capital for which they need partners in Slovakia. They are interested mainly in investment into existing projects in food processing and machinery industries.” Robert Simoncic, SARIO CEO said.

 

Israeli companies are interested mainly in economic conditions in Slovakia, opportunities for doing business and possible government and municipalities support. Since Israel is the leader in research and development, the topic of cooperation with technology centers in the fields of ICT, software, natural sciences, semiconductors and others was in the forefront of discussions. The volume of direct Israeli investment in Slovakia amounts to almost 7 million Euros.

 

SARIO´s aim is to be a modern agency, which will be perceived by foreign investors and domestic partners as a vehicle for growth and innovation. SARIO wants to assist to the development of the Slovak economy in the maximum extent possible by attracting new investment and offering trade support, which shall bring its results in creation of new jobs and ultimately increase the living standards in Slovakia.
