Business negotiations in Taiwan

Slovak Agency for Investment and Trade Development (SARIO) represents our country in Taiwan. SARIO in cooperation with the Slovak Cultural and Economic Office in Taipei, Taiwan launched a mission to acquire new investments for Slovakia. The goal is also to strengthen relationships with established Taiwanese investors.


SARIO representatives met with Rt. Tsai , Vice President Delta Electronics and Nan-Huei Huang, personal advisor to the company owner Foxconn. They discussed possible expansions of the Slovak operations of both companies.


"Both companies are leaders of global electronics industry. Direct communication and relationships strengthening with the headquarters can significantly help to the future development of Slovak plants, since the expansions contribute an important share in the foreign direct investment growth ", said Robert Šimončič , SARIO CEO.


SARIO representatives also met with the Director of DOIs (Department of Investment Services) and talked mainly about the possibilities of mutual support, information exchange and "best practices ". SARIO finds very important negotiation with TAITRA representatives. TAITRA is a biggest organization supporting taiwanese export, as well as partner organization of Invest in Taiwan.

 

Taiwanese entrepreneurs had a possibility to hear an overview of the investment environment in Slovakia through the presentation of Andrea Gulova, SARIO Deputy CEO. The seminar was organized by the Taiwanese branch of KPMG at its Taipei headquarters. We have been supported also by presentations of Slovak - Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce and the Slovak branch of KPMG representatives.

SARIO strives to become a modern investment and trade promotion agency, which will be seen by foreign investors and domestic partners as a vehicle for growth and innovation in the SR. SARIO wants to facilitate the development of Slovak economy by attracting new investment and trade promotion, which would result in new jobs and raising living standards in Slovakia.
