The 1st International Annual Business Conference “ABC: Ukraine & Partners” took place on June 13 – 14, 2013 in Kyiv with the participation of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov and other members of Ukrainian Government. A wide range of governmental representatives, business and academia, financial, banking and investment institutions, diplomatic missions and media were invited to the conference. Slovak Republic was represented by H.E. Ambassador of Slovak Republic in Ukraine, P. Hamžík, Economic Diplomat, Soňa Krajčová, First Secretary, P. Chrobák and Head of Foreign Trade Department of SARIO, T. Buček. 

 

The aim of the Conference along with further development of dialogue between business leaders and the government was to unite their efforts in finding mutually acceptable ways of cooperation and overcoming the negative impact of the global economic crisis. The Conference uncovered the potential for future development of relations between UA and The Customs Union of Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia.

 

Tibor Buček except for networking in order to find new options for cooperation of Slovak companies in this region; also met with Viktor A. Ivacenko, representative of Ukrainian agency for science, innovations and information (DKNII) in order to prepare a signing of a Memorandum between SARIO and DKNII.

 

Two day program included 16 discussion panels and round tables regarding the most current questions about the development of Ukrainian economy and international cooperation.  At the conference participated 3500 visitors, 84 speakers were involved at 16 round tables and discussion panels. The conference was monitored by 400 accredited journalists.
