SARIO CEO Juraj Kiesel welcomed the delegation of Chinese businessmen and investors from Beijing from the field of infrastructure and development projects who participated on the construction of the Olympics stadium “Bird Nest” and the airport in the Chinese capital city. Mr. Pavol Matejka from the Section of Foreign Direct Investment introduced the economic conditions and the investment environment of the Slovak Republic. Chinese businessmen were interested in the project Transcontinental Transit Terminal (T.T.T.) which should provide significant part of goods flow between the Northern America, Europe and Asia as an alternative to the sea transport. The main coordinator of the project is SARIO agency in close cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic and with the respective institutions of municipal and national administration. The Chinese delegation later visited also the Ministry of Transportation, Posts and Telecommunications where they were interested in participation in other infrastructure projects.
