Location SARIO In the period from April 7 – 12, 2013 Pavol Čobirka, SARIO Project SARIO, represented the SR on a business trip in the southern Caucasus. Business mission, meetings and negotiations with government representatives and partner organization took place in Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan in order to open doors for Slovak companies in this territory. Slovak companies had the opportunity to attend talks with more than 50 trading partners, thereby familiarize with this territory from at first hand. Slovak business mission was part of an official business trip of Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the SR. The embassies of the SR in Ankara and Moscow, honorary consul in Georgia and Armenia and SARIO´s partner organizations in these countries actively participated in preparation of program and all business negotiations. The key issues of the negotiations in all countries were mainly construction and infrastructure development, energy, electronics and IT. This business trip opened up new opportunities for Slovak entrepreneurs interested to succeed in these territories. The most promising area in these countries, in addition to waste management, is construction and rehabilitation of small hydro power plants, since these areas are supported by the governments of all three countries in the scope of their energy security strategy.
