Doing business in Bulgaria

January 14, 2021 (Thursday) brought another webinar under the auspices of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO). This time, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Sofia and the Bulgarian Industry Association, we focused on approaching the business environment and the possibility of finding business partners in the territory of Bulgaria.

The first activity of this year's SARIO agency was registered 37 participants, mainly business entities and some of the relevant institutions.

At the beginning, the webinar’s participants were welcomed by the director of the foreign trade department of the SARIO agency, Egon Zorád, who then gave the floor to Ambassador Manuel Korček. In his presentation to the webinar, the economic diplomat Viktor Petrovský presented the economic situation in the country with an emphasis on the possibilities and recommended procedures for entering the Bulgarian market. He also introduced successful Slovak companies actively participating in this market. The representative of the Bulgarian Industrial Association, Lora Lyubenová, informed about the activities of the association and how this association can help Slovak entrepreneurs in finding relevant partners in the given market.

During the registration, participants had the opportunity to state specific questions that were answered in the final Q&A. After the webinar, several of the registered companies were approached with the possibility of support in finding business partners in the country using the services of the Bulgarian Industry Association. We believe that the webinar will help to develop specific B2B meetings in order to enhance mutual cooperation between Slovak and Bulgarian partners.
