According to SARIO CEO Juraj Kiesel, the introduction of the Euro in Slovakia represents financial stability that is well perceived by foreign investors especially in the times of global economic crisis. “Many times the Euro in our country is the key factor for the investors in decision on localizing their investment in the Central and Eastern Europe. One of the most successful investments of this year, Taiwanese investment into AU Optronics,Trencin, is the proof that Euro was one of the most decisive factors in the decision making process,” said Juraj Kiesel. According to him the investors are able to forecast better planned costs thanks to stable development of the Euro exchange rate. “The international trade is thanks to Euro simpler and more intensive since the investors are able to lower their risk of exchange rate losses,” added SARIO CEO. The Director of the Foreign Direct Investment Section Andrea Chovancova said that agency currently registers 139 projects, out of which there are 85 are current according to the agency internal methods in the total volume of 2.423 – 2.528 bln Euro with the perspective of creation of 11,696 – 12,675 jobs.
