The First Mongolian - Slovak business forum

On September 23, 2013 the First Mongolian-Slovak business forum organized by SARIO organized in cooperation with the Mongolian Chamber of Commercetook place in Ulaanbaatar.

 

The Business Forum was a part of a visit to Mongolia of the State Secretaries of three Slovak ministries - Pavol Pavlis, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy of the SR, Peter Burian, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the SR andMagdalena Lacko-Bartosova, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Regional Development of the Slovak Republic.

 

The Business Forum gave opportunity to the Slovak entrepreneurs to present their production to Mongolian producers and also to find new opportunities for cooperation. Slovak companies mainly from the mining, food processing and construction industries (Hornonitrianske bane, TSU Piestany, Stavoterm Michalovce, Slovak biological servicesand Víno Nitra) attended the forum. The Mongolian side was represented by 20 companies from similar industries.

 

Mr. Tibor Bucek, Head of the SARIO Foreign Trade Department presented to Mongolian entrepreneurs Slovak business environment and cooperation opportunities.

 

Ms. Oyungerel Bold, Head of Foreign Relations and Investment Promotion Division of Mongolian Chamber of Commerce presented the possibilities for cooperation in various sectors.

 

The visit confirmed interest in further development of relations with Mongolia and gave space for discussion on cooperation possibilities and emphasis on promoting economic and trade relations dimension.
