Interconnecting theory and practice II

On the 21st of November 2013, Slvoak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), ISA, and HR company Trenkwalder organized in cooperation with Žilina self-governing region the event “Flexible, specialized and educated workforce in the region – systemic measures between schools, employers and employees.“

 

The first panel was dedicated to development of dual vocational education from the perspective of inter alia Žilina self-governing region (Dana Mažgútová), National Lifelong Learning Institute (Zuzana Štrbíková) and Institute for Information and Prognosis of Education (Andrej Bederka). The representatives of private sector from the companies Kia Motors Slovakia and Tatravagónka a.s. Poprad presented their successful cooperation with vocational high schools in the second panel. The audience could also listen to opinions of Mr. Brezovsky from Central Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family and of selected vocational high schools from Žilina and Trenčín self-governing regions.

 

From the group of organizers, floor was given to Trenkwalder represented by Mr. Beck and Mrs. Petra Sasinková from SARIO. Mr. Beck pointed in his speech at the importance of further development of dual vocational education in Slovakia from the viewpoint of renowned HR agency. He also gave an overview of the requirements employers have concerning knowledge and skills of their employees. Petra Sasinková presented to audience agenda and competencies within SARIO that can be helpful in interconnecting the theoretical and practical part of the education of students and employees in companies.
