On May 6, 2014 the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency received a state delegation from Brazil, Mr. Joao Maia from Brazilian state Paramá and Mr. Vandera Loubeta from Brazilian state Rio Grande do Norte. The delegation was accompanied by H.E. Susan Kleebank, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil in Slovakia.The aim of the meeting was to present potential areas of trade cooperation and new investment opportunities which are offered in newly built airport in Natal with free export zone which include favorable tariff conditions. Later on they introduced the possibility of cooperation regarding the infrastructure projects in the construction of highways across the Brazilian federal states.Slovakia is interesting also because of the field of energy and electro- technical units as a part of the power plant, software solutions, waste treatment and water purification area. The Embassy of Brazil in Bratislava and the Trade Department of SARIO, they offered assistance by the development of cooperation between Slovak and Brazilian companies.Mr. Peter Retkovsky from Trade Department presented the agenda of the department along with the current state of bilateral trade between Slovakia and Brazil. Ms. Marcela Torokova, Head of Business Development Department introduced the investment division of SARIO. The meeting continued with the presentation of Ms. Gabriela Markova from Business Development Department about the investment environment in Slovakia and current possibilities of receiving the state aid. Ms. Timea Balazova from Corporate Development Department talked about the investment experiences of a Brazilian company Embraco in Slovakia.SARIO is in regular contact with foreign embassies in Slovakia, which are one of the key partners of SARIO´s communication network and whose assistance in investment and trade projects is much appreciated. Therefore an opportunity to introduce services of the agency is very well received through such investment events
