Location Dallas (USA) The representatives of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) participated at the official opening of the Honorary Consulate of Slovakia in Dallas, Texas on 3 May 2010. The new Honorary Consul of Slovakia to Texas is Mr. Martin Valko, an attorney and a representative of the immigration law firm Chavez & Valko, LLP. On this occasion the regular meeting of all honorary consuls of Slovakia in the United States took place on the same date with attendance of the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreight Affairs Ms. Oľga Algayerová, representatives of the Slovak Embassy, AmCham and SARIO. The State Secretary Ms. Algayerová and the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the United States Mr. Peter Burian appreciated the help of honorary consuls when presenting Slovakia and introduced new targets and expectations concerning the economic dimension of diplomacy and promoting Slovakia as an investment and tourism destination. The Director of FDI section of SARIO Ms. Andrea Chovancová introduced the agency and explained services SARIO provides and ways of possible cooperation with honorary consuls.
