On the occasion of the Slovak Minister of Finance Mr. Peter Kažimír’s visit of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Brussels with cooperation of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce organized the seminar “Opportunities for trade between Luxembourg and Slovakia.”Slovakia was presented by three speakers – Mr. Ambassador in Brussels, H. E. Stanislav Vallo; representant of the Slovak Laison Office for Research and Development who covered the topic of the research and innovation ecosystem and representat of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency who introduced the Slovak business environment.The seminar was the first SARIO’s occasion of its kind in Luxembourg. SARIO has therefore established contacts not only with the organizators of the event – Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce – but also representatives of the Ministry of Economy or Luxinnovation – institution covering innovation, investment and trade.The seminar was attended by members of the Chamber from various business sectors and included presence of Slovak enterpreneurs.The event was officially closed by the Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic, Mr. Peter Kažimír and his counterpart the Minister of Finance of Luxembourg Mr. Pierre Gramegna. Both expressed hopes for a further future cooperation between their countries. Various fields were identified during the seminar as having Slovakia and Luxembourg in common.
