The project Practice for Universities, Solutions for Companies 3.0 connected 21 companies and 6 faculties of Slovak universities with the result of more than one hundred specific proposals for cooperation between private and scholar sectors, and at the same time the project interconnected some participating companies.The Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) aims to attract investments with higher added value to the Slovak Republic. However, the barrier to obtaining them is the low availability of skilled labor. The skills of university graduates often do not reflect the real needs of the labor market. Therefore, since 2019, SARIO has been implementing the project Practice for Universities, Solutions for Companies. Its goal is to connect universities with companies in order to increase the innovation and competitiveness of the economy through the cooperation of these important actors in the process. This year, the SARIO again used its contacts with Slovak business entities and launched the third round of the project Practice for Universities, Solutions for Companies. Companies were given the opportunity to submit topics for bachelor's, master's, and dissertation theses based on practical assignments that they need to solve, or design areas for the creation of joint research and development, or offer internships to students of Slovak universities. The project Practice for Universities, Solutions for Companies 3.0 connected 21 companies and 6 faculties of Slovak universities. The result is more than a hundred concrete proposals for cooperation. A significant added value of this project was that in addition to connecting and establishing cooperation between companies and universities, there was also cooperation between companies - innovative Slovak startup AgeVolt found partners among established internationally operating companies – Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia and also with a major Slovak company PROMA, which operates in the field of construction.
