On October 12 - 13, Slovak Investment & Trade Development Agency (SARIO) in cooperation with the Slovak Embassy in The Hague organized a business mission to CES Unveiled 2022 in Amsterdam. The event was a European pre-event of the large Consumer Electronics Show (CES), one of the leading global trade fairs and exhibitions focused on consumer electronics, and is annually held in Las Vegas, USA.The Slovak Presidency of the Visegrad Group (V4), which is running from July 2022 to June 2023, was one of the partners of CES 2022 Amsterdam, where the Slovak Embassy in The Hague has prepared a rich program for all participating companies from Slovakia as well as other V4 countries. It started already on the eve of the fair, on Wednesday 12th of October in The Hague. The business seminar together with a networking event, the topic of which was “Doing Business in the Netherlands” enriched by advice for companies interested in establishing themselves on the Dutch market, was attended, among others, by representatives of the private companies coming from the V4 countries, employees of the V4 embassies in The Hague and the representatives of the Dutch government agency Netherlands Enterprise Agency.On Thursday, October 13, Amsterdam's Beurs van Berlage Conference Center hosted the conference and exhibition program of CES Unveiled 2022 itself, which was full of inspiring panel discussions, keynote speeches, and presentations of dozens of innovative companies from the Netherlands, Germany, and the V4 countries, including three participating Slovak companies - Powerful Medical, InoCloud, and SUN powered systems. The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in The Hague also organized one of the panel discussions under the auspices of the Slovak presidency in the V4, the topic of which was the start-up and innovation ecosystem in the V4 countries. The event was opened by the Slovak Ambassador to the Netherlands, Juraj Macháč, and moderated by the Slovak ex-pat Andrea Orság, co-founder of the Amsterdam-based consulting company MisionC, focused on sustainability and circular economy. Slovakia and SARIO were represented by Marek Kopanický, Senior Consultant and SARIO Innovation Sourcing Lead. Besides them, the discussion was attended by distinguished guests from CzechInvest, PAIH, and European Innovation Council.
