SARIO At Global Expansion Summit in London

Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO) hope to attract more technology companies to Slovakia by partnering with major summit.

From 19 to 20 June 2017, SARIO participated at Global Expansion Summit, the leading annual event on cross-border business expansion in London. Given the presence of senior decision-makers from number of multinational companies as well as current development around Brexit, GXP Summit is known for being one of the most important gatherings of the year.
During the event, consultants from Foreign Direct Investment Department were holding number of fruitful meetings with corporate executives, advising on how Slovakia can fulfil their expansion needs. SARIO also addressed several location consultants and intermediaries who advise international companies on suitable locations for their business and presented Slovak Republic as a country which offers something different and distinctive in comparison to its neighbors – combination of EURO as an official currency, political stability as well as the highest labor productivity in the region.

GXP Summit also offered an opportunity to present Slovakia as a modern country, which can dwell not only on its traditions but also on its inventions and unique products which already have a place in world-wide markets. As a part of ‘Where Next?’ session, SARIO representative Ms. Martina Balejova presented current trend of connecting innovations into Slovak advanced industry and the fact, that our economy grow not only in terms of quantity, but mainly in terms of quality. Ms. Balejova introduced several ideas born and turned into reality in Slovakia, serving as an evidence of innovative and scientific potential of Slovak people. This was also highlighted by the fact that Slovakia is ranked among the top 10 countries in the world in the capability of adopting new technologies through FDI, according to World Economic Forum.

SARIO continues to proactively target global technology and digital companies, who might be interested in moving to the region of Central and Eastern Europe and present Slovakia as an ideal destination for their operations.
